Made it!

We're here! The trip over was memorable. For the sake of good humor I'll just say that what kept us smiling was the soundtrack to our adventure- the looped Byran Adams 90s love ballads set to the pan pipe playing in the Delhi overnight lounge (which of course led to some mean air band pan piping... and tears of laughter) and the always essential Michael Jackson music video collection that streamed during our short flight to Nepal. Nu'f said. Steph's baggage is missing, which means more time to explore Kathmandu and potentially a shopping spree for replacement necessities. Highlights so far: bobbing and weaving through the insane traffic from the airport, the colors, the smiles, the amazing hospitality and generosity, and the anticipation of getting to the mountains. We hope to get started by Monday. Namaste.

And I'm Off

I head out from Seattle tomorrow, arrive in Delhi on Thursday night and fly to Kathmandu early Friday. I'm heading over with a bike box, a backpack and a general plan. To start, Steph and I are hiking around in the Annapurna region until early December. The area is remote and won't allow for much internet access. I'll update before we hit the trail. ~P
